Today we meet Gaz!
Can you tell us a bit about yourself? How did you get into singing — and into Second Life?
I have over 39 years of professional experience across the UK and Europe, from my early days as a singer and bass guitarist in UK Theater circuits to two decades entertaining along the sun-soaked Costa’s of Spain, I have built a career on passion, versatility, and connecting with audiences.
I’m now semi-retired in RL so I have the time to perform in Second Life, sharing classic hits and soulful ballads that only time and experience can craft and also love singing live because you still get the adrenalin and the connection too, like you would in RL.
From your song list, which song is your personal favorite, and why does it mean so much to you?
It’s difficult to choose one, because they’re all chosen for a reason, but my favourite has to be ‘This Is The Moment’ because every moment singing is a great one.
What do you love most about performing in Second Life? What does it bring you as an artist or person?
You get meet people from all over the world, that you most probably wouldn’t be able to do in RL, so for me it’s a great experience
Why did you choose to perform at *CharitySL.nl in Action for KiKa* (the Dutch Children Cancer-Free Foundation)?
I always love to perform at Charity Events and happy to help raise money for a good cause like KiKa
In your opinion, why should everyone visit CharitySL.nl 2025 and be part of this event?
To help raise money for a good cause, like you say Children shouldn’t have get Cancer, it’s way too young too die, in fact nobody should have to get Cancer these days.
Music connects people in a unique way — how would you describe the power of music when it’s used to help others or support a cause like KiKa?
Music brings people together, you enjoy the beat, the atmosphere, your mind just goes away to a happy place, helping others forget about the troubles just for a little while.
